«TOP, FRONT, SIDE»
Installation, Høvik, Norway. 2001
An ”unusual” exhibition
in an ”unusual” exhibition space;
a stabbur (a traditional Norwegian storehouse on pillars)
with brown surfaces.
The exhibition space was two rather
dark,
narrow rooms on the ground floor and a larger, lighter
square attic on the first floor. The entire interior was
wood and plate
material. On the ground floor I used laminated pictogram
figures from the internet, which I placed on the long
wall of the room,
directly onto the dark wood.
In the attic I used the
floor as a relief-surface with enlarged pictogram
figures.
Material: plastic laminated pictograms and icing sugar.
